This article, from the NYTimes, highlights one of the biggest health concerns linked to factory farming: the mass use of antibiotics in farm animals.

I understand that the population of this planet continues to grow, and we need to be able to produce enough food for every person. But, we need to do it safely, and humanely. The recent e-coli outbreak in Europe is another frightening example of why our food system needs an overhaul.
